In my department we use a coffee brewer Cicilware Century 2000.
This is a great brewer, but now our local Fire-Department has demand that all small-electrical machines must be disconnected when they are unused.
The reason for this drastic solution is our location in arctic area. The cold temperature causes a low air humidity witch makes ours flattops extremely flammable.

I don\'t think you\'re going to win on this one.You\'re asking them to make an exception to their boss\' rule, for a piece of portable equipment that isn\'t essential, could be operated reasonably effectively within the rules, and which is actually designed to get hot.Making an exception to the rule is going to expose them to effort, risk of being criticised if they get it wrong, loads of extra paperwork, and hordes of other punters all wanting the same treatment for their sandwich makers, grills and indoor barbecues - all so someone else can get their morning coffee five minutes quicker. In all likelihood, you\'re right about the machine being safe - but that\'s only part of the story.A.
Hi Larslars current flows through circuit breakers from the main source ,if any high voltage comes in ,the breakers trip before high voltage could reaches the building this is so to prevent any fire to the building and damage to appliances, by having the coffee maker plug in does not pose any fire hazard,if the coffee maker develops any short, the voltage goes direct to the circuit breakers and trip them off, before any fire can could ocurr.low humidity i know is damp and moist which could defuse any heat or sparks.on my behalf i find it highly impossible for a fire to start due to low humidity good luck with your arguments.
