Orchestro Dialog FNF2 Espresso Machine

No coffee is coming out of the machine...

I have the Krups Orchestro Dialog and by the look of the display it seems to work just fine. I can press the buttons for coffee and it also starts to make noise - but nothing comes out of the machine. It seems it grinds the coffee beans but it does not take in water - and after a while it asks me to push the hot water button. When I do that it makes noise - stops after a minute - and says machine ready. But still no cofee. Hope you can help me!

Althogh this issue was posted in 2007. We just had a similar problem with ours. We live in Utah where the water is very hard. Our machine started to not pull hot water out of the hot water nozzle ,it would sputter but just wasn't functioning like it should and then day by day the coffee started to drip out until we had no coffee at all coming out. In the end it was all about the descaling process. The machine was so compacted with hard water deposit that it would not function. It couldn't even descale itself. I tried but it could not pull water through it to even run through the descale process. You could hear that the pump trying to pull water, but it couldn't it ended up sucking air. I opened up the right side of the machine where - the side where the nozzle for hot water is. Pulled the rubber hose off the right side of the pump. I used a medicine syringe from a pharmacy. I put a small amount of CLR and water in a coffee cup and started injecting this mixture into the pump. I turned the machine on, hit hot water, inject the solution and turned it off when the syringe emptied, and repeated the process until I saw a decent, but not perfect flow of water flowing out of the hot water nozzle. When I saw the flow ok - I reconnected the hose - filled the water tank to the .5ml mark put in two capfuls of CLR. I took the filter out of the tank. Filled the syringe up with the CLR mixture and held it over the intake in the tank. Hit the hot water button and injected straight into the intake to get water into the tube so that the pump could get the water into it. It eventually did and am not sure if injecting in into the intake was necessary. Once water was being sucked up by the tank. I ran the sytem through a descale process - Not Once - but FOUR times. There was a ton of mineral deposit and hard water crystals sputtering out the water nozzle and also into the coffee tray. After I didn't see any more hard water crystals. I ran two full containers of water through the sytem, To clear out the CLR. (CLR in America is a product for hard water and lime) I did this over two days, because I didn't want to kill the motor too. Not that I know that this would have happened, but I had just gone through a lot of work to get it working again. And it is... and we have great coffee again. Our machine leaks and I do want a proper technician to look at it, but I am so glad it is making us coffee again. Lesson Learned - DESCALE your machines. I thought cleaning it was good enough - but clearly it isn't. Opening the machine was painful, but not hard. There is a phillips head screw in the coffee bean holder - and two tamper resistant screws in the back. They are a pain. Patience and they will come out with pliers or a small wrench. It worked for us.. hopefully it can work for others.
If you still have it. I can repair this machinr for you. You can try descaling but if that does not work you need to send it in for repair. Got to www.hotncold.com and click on Jura Repair. Jura and Krups are made by the same company. We can repair within 24hrs.
