Leaks After seveal years there is a leak from the bottom. My guess is that it's fatal (unrepairable). There seems to be a single screws on the bottom with a strange triangle head to prevent home repairs since neither philips or slot head work. Any ideas?

Simply drill out the tamper proof screw(tri wing) at the bottom of the coffee maker using a small drill bit first then progressing to a larger bit to get the head off. Once this is done then proceed to unsnap the bottom cover. The whole body of the coffee maker is a snap in design making each part separate from the rest.At the bottom you will notice two connector tubes made out of aluminum. Most likely one or both are corroded. If not serious corrosion exists, tape the holes with aluminum duct tape- two layers will do. If serious, consider buying a new coffeemaker. Usually the rubber ducts are fine; mine were after 10 years of service. If not, you can easily replace these with small sections of radiator hose. Reinstall the coffeemaker and test for leaks. You do not need the screw at the bottom to hold the unit together. It is tight enough.
